INTRODUCTION

The Mediation Committee of the International Bar Association is committed to exploring the potential of artificial intelligence to enhance mediation practice. 

We have prepared draft guidelines aimed at helping mediation participants to understand how generative AI can support mediations as well as what steps can be taken to safeguard mediations when AI tools are used.
